The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Engagement Team will be heading to Alexandra Truck, Ute & Rod Show for the very first time this Queens Birthday Long Weekend.
The Engagement Team have been very active in promoting the changes in Chain of Responsibility (CoR) Laws that are coming into effect in mid-2018.
The team of Truckfest Mobile Marketing will be hosting the engagement and say they are pleased to bring the experts to grass roots operators, especially at events like the established Alexandra Truck, Ute & Rod Show, which is celebrating its 21st Year.
Truckfest owners Stephen Proglio and Chris Smith say they have noticed a major shift in the attitude towards the regulators at the recent events where Truckfest has promoted the marketing collateral of the NHVR.
“We have been to Penrith with the Diesel, Dirt & Turf Expo as well as the recent Rocklea Heritage Truck Show and the response from transport operators has been extremely positive,” says Mr Smith.
He adds that in almost 15 years as an editor and journalists working for some of the country’s best transport titles he has seen a major shift in perceptions towards transport law makers.
“Operators welcome information on the changes to transport laws. They want to be informed and want to abide by the rules. It’s true that not all operators agree with all the rules but they realise they need to follow them to prosper in the industry,” says Mr Proglio.
Mr Proglio drives tipper trucks for a living and understands the importance of knowing the rules.
“I am glad that we can bring the experts with us to answer questions that operators need answered. Especially with CoR changes, what the NHVR is doing is taking the message to the people in the most direct way,” he says.
